STE designs furnaces for most applications from compact workshop units to large industrial bogie hearth furnaces. The furnaces are produced to suit a range of heat treatment process requirements, including :
- Annealing, Ageing, Hardening, Solution heat treatment, Normalising, Stress relieving.
STE ovens provide an excellent solution to the strict temperature uniformity requirement for heat treatment of today's specialised materials. STE's ovens are designed to carrying out a variety of thermal processes on metal alloys, glass and composite materials, providing flexible and cost effective solutions.
Heat treatment processes, include post weld heat treatment of vessels, spheres and other fabrications, curing of coatings, refractory dry-outs utilising Cooperheat high velocity gas / oil burners. The versatility and relative ease of transportation allows the required heating process to be applied at site or workshop anywhere in the world.
Mineral wool insulation is applied to outside of the sphere or vessel to contain the heat. Cooperheat high velocity burners are fired through the top/ bottom man-way. Thermocouples are used to accurately monitor the temperature. This method turns the spheres/ vessel into its own furnace.
Various types and configurations of vessels & storage tanks may be post weld heat treated by insulating the vessel/ storagetank on the side. Then, fired internally & exhausted through suitable, available openings. Cooperheat high velocity burners enable excellent temperature distribution & uniformity all times due to the intense scrubbing action.
Cooperheat burners have the necessary power to also carry out solution annealing to temperatures up to 1200C following strict safety procedures and risk assessment.
Cooperheat regularly supply specialist equipment & personnel to construct temporary furnaces at sites. It's an idea solution for heat treatment of fabrications & structures when internal firing is not a practical/ cost effective option. Heat treatment can be carried out using Cooperheat high velocity burners. This can be more cost effective if customer constructs the furnace framework.
Cooperheat high velocity burners is an effective method of curing & driving out moisture from refractory materials used in process industries such as steel, petrochemical, aluminium, glass & other diverse applications. Work under carefully controlled consitions, we eliminate the risk of damage that can be caused by spalling & extend the life of refractory.
The high turn down ratio of Cooperheat high velocity burners, coupled with suitable air volume change ratios, enables excellent temperature control. This is important when operating at the low temperatures normally required for the curing of tank & vessel protective coatings -paints, phenolics, epoxy resins & rubber linings.

1)Preheat services for pipe work, vessels & other fabrications,
2)PWHT services for pipe work & part / complete vessels

Eliminate expensive temperature control and recording errors as well as thermocouple failures! Automatic Thermocouple Attachment Unit(TAU) helps eliminate the risk of expensive rework by enabling accurate temperature control, recording & reducing the risk of thermocouple breaking off during the heat treatment process.
TAU also used to attach thermocouple for other temperature monitoring applications that require reliable temperature measurement. It can be difficult to attach thermocouples with manual attachment units, which require both hands to operate. TAU require only one hand to operate which can be an important safety feature when working at elevated levels / inaccessible locations.
1)Can operate by one person,
2) Single handed operationin automatic mode
3)Simple to operate,
4)No welding skills required,
5)light weight & portable,
6)Recharged simply by connecting to the appropriate a.c. supply
7)Indicating lights show unit charge status & battery status
8)3 power settings can be selected in both automatic & manual operating modes
9)Automatic switch off after 3 minutes to save battery power
10)Carrying shoulder strap fitted as standard
11)Integral storage compartment for safe storage of pliers, magnet & recharging cable.
STE-Moderm pressure part design places high importance on integrity of welded joints. Where required, successful heat treatment is essential, especially with high performance steels. This requires equipment that can provide accurate control of the cycle parameters, along with uniformity of temperature throughout the geometry.

Replacement "Advantage 3" linkable, programmer/controller. Supersedes the "Advantage 2" linkable, programmer/controller. Provide user with greater versatility & flexibility. Each "Advantage 3"output communicates with other "Advantage 3" controllers, controlling zones on the same heat treatment & limiting the differential between separate control zones within a single heat treatment.
When a job requires multiple heat treatment programs, user benefits achieved by:
-Reducing the number of standard 6 channel programmers normally required to heat treat work pieces with different heat treatment cycles
-Eliminating the need for multiple shift working to carry out several separate heat treatment processes for each heat treatment specification.
Contains necessary parts &instructions required to upgrade any make /model heat treatment unit to provide additional functionality, user benifits & cost savings provided by "Advantage 3" linkable programmer/controller.

Type K nickel chrome/nickel aluminium thermocouple wire, insulated with high temperature glass braid. Recommended maximum temperature 800C. It used to convert the thermal energy at hot junction of the thermocouple to an electrical mV signal which can then be used by temperature control & recording instruments to accurately record & control the temperature of item being heat treated.
The thermocouple wire is attached directlt to the work piece using the "thermocouple attachment unit " Stock reference:41756(110V unit)/ 41757(230V unit). Conforms to : BS EN 60584-1:1996 part 4, BS EN 60584-2:1993 class 1 & ANSI-MC 96
A small portion of the soft putty is fixed over the hot junction of the thermocouple, which attached to the item being heat-treated. Once the putty dries, after 20 minutes, it hardens to protect the hot junction & help avoid possible short circuit of thermocouple wires which would result in temperature control & recording errors.
2 types of thermocouple plugs:
-516-111-->used with compensating cable
-516-125-->"Quick connection"plugs are ideally use with thermocouple wire regular connections are required, can attached to thermocouple wire in seconds & reduces waste caused by the loss of terminal covers.
