George Kent (Malaysia) Berhad was incorporated in 1951 after having established itself in Penang in 1936 as a service branch of its then parent company, George Kent Limited, U.K, specializing in the fields of Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) engineering. It became a public-listed company in 1967 and has been listed on the Bursa Malaysia since 1971.
Today, George Kent continued to be a leading player in the Malaysian market. providing M&E products and services. It has diversified business interests in the water, process, flow and building industries and also undertake construction and infrastructure projects.
George Kent is transforming and reinventing to become a total solutions partner across all its businesses in manufacturing, marketing and distribution, provision of industrial products and services, infrastructure investments, construction and contracting.
Its hot brass-forging plant is the largest in the region specializing in the manufacturing of water meters and other non-ferrous products for the water and other related industries.

It also has a brass casting plant within its manufacturing facility that produces brass rods.
The Water and Construction business units undertake various types of projects in turnkey contracting, project management in construction upgrading, rehabilitation and expansion of water treatment plants and related facilities such as raw water intake plants, pumping stations and power generating plants.
The Infrastructure Investment business unit undertakes operations & maintenance (O&M) services for water treatment plants as well as managing privatized water utility companies throughout the world.
George Kent markets and distributes a comprehensive range of metering products and solutions as well as an extensive range of industrial products, services and solutions serving the water, process and flow, and building industries.
Besides water meters, George Kent also distribute other related metering products like valves and fittings and associated products for the water and related industries.
Instrumentations, telemetry systems and services, building automation/management systems (BMS) and building security systems (BSS) are some of other smart solutions that are provided by George Kent.

MANUFACTURINGBrass manufacturing will continue to be a core business for The George kent Group. A huge plant located in Puchong which houses the largest hot brass-forging facility in SEA.
It’s a state-of-the-art facility specializing in the manufacturing of water meters, brass valves and fittings and brass parts and components for the water, OEM and control valves industries. It's a world class facility that is certified to ISO9001-2008 and ISO140010-2004 standards.
Products manufactured by George Kent are synonymous with quality & performance. George Kent manufactures more than 2 million units of household meters & meter housings annually. Leading in the world's biggest selling Class C PSM water meters that is certified to EU standards.
METERSGeorge Kent continues to be the major supplier & distributor of water meters & metering solutions in Malaysia and the Asia Pacific Region. It markets & distributes a wide range of water meters that are designed to provide total solutions covering the residential, industrial and commercial sectors.
Distributors are actively marketing & promoting George Kent range of water meters & other related prodcuts to proved total solutions in consumption data collection, network monitoring & in control & distribution management. These water meters are exported to more than 20 countries worldwide and are continuing to expand into new export markets every year.
INDUSTRIAL PRODUCTSThis business unit specializes in marketing & distribution of non-ferrous products for the water & plumbing industries. It has a range of valves, fittings & complementary products that are related to the water supply & water meter applications to provide total water distribution and metering solutions.

George Kent Group has been a very sucessful specialist contractor for water infrastucture projects with high mechanical and engineering contents. Over the past 20 years is has undertaken more than 26 major water-supply and non-water related projects with a good track record to become a key player in the local water infrastructure sector.
Projects that have been completed are very diverse in nature and vary in scale ranging from construction of water treatment plants, rehabilitation and upgrades to existing water infrastructures, operation and maintenance of water treatment plants and laying of water distribution and supply pipelines.
